Takei Pride

my_partner_doug tipped me to this video, "George Takei vs. Tennessee's 'Don't Say Gay' Bill."  This is a heartwarming use of social influence, and a very clever linguistic maneuver.  I have long admired George Takei's public speaking skills and acting ability.  I am now even further impressed with his social engineering.  I hope this catches on.  It would be an apt mark on history.

That man rocks like three geology conventions and the Sierra Madres.
... and I wouldn't ever want to be standing downhill of that rockslide.
Have you seen the video he did several years ago in response to Tim Hardaway (a basketball player who publicly stated that he wouldn't want to be on a team with gay players)?
Not sure I've seen the video, but I recall the incident. (My thought was, I'm sure there are plenty of players who wouldn't want to be on a team with bigots.)
Fantastic! George Takei is always smart and devastatingly witty. That man has class.
I'd be happy to have a fraction of his public speaking skill. He can project his voice right to the back wall of a room, and stop there. Impressive.
