Poem: "Gaia, ScD"

Some folks are posting short Earth Day poems, and I saw a speculative one pop up on the SFPA list.  This is my contribution.  You are welcome to link back here, or repost the poem with attribution.  In case you're curious, Sc.D. means "Doctor of Science."

Gaia, Sc.D.

Earth Day:
Gaia pores over the data and
grumbles, "Back to the drawing board."
The next day, it begins to rain.
