Interesting article. I'm comfortable with my number of readers myself, though. :-) In fact, I'm often surprised at just how many people are actually interested in my ramblings. ^_^ Like, "What, I'm not boring you to tears?"

I find the myspace/facebook idea a bit confusing - why exactly would one tell one's blog readers to visit those other sites? I also don't quite see how keeping pages there helps with blog readership, especially since you'd have to keep updating those sites too, right?

maybe it's just that I don't get the whole myspace/facebook thing - myspace tends to have awful pages that look like a kindergartener threw up on them, and it appears to me that it's a place to post drunk pictures of yourself.
