I would prefer a world with minimal violence. In a world with lots of violence, however, I prefer that people have generous options for self-defense. If someone were trying to harm me, I wouldn't hesitate to do them serious or fatal harm in self-defense; and I would consider that self-defense to be morally laudable.
There are many sets of moral guidelines in the world. Most of them disagree.
