Neat shot!
Those aren't just any maple seeds. Those are red swamp maple seeds. When you see the trees in spring from a distance they look like blooms, don't they.
Red maples are easily identified by their pinkish/reddish leaf stems and their red seeds in spring.

Pretty! Our maples here have green seeds, although the leaves vary. Some of the flowers are a really bold red.
Lots of different maples here in the US.

All the helicopters for our maple trees are a golden color in our neck of the woods. Those are beautiful.
That sounds lovely. Ours here are green, although some of the maples have very red flowers.
