Thank you!

I appreciate the feedback.

>> Polling the audience for which serial to feature would be neat.<<

Cool.

>> You mentioned breaking up the fishbowl into two parts because it gets so active. You might be able to do a featured series in one part and more general poems in the other. <<

*laugh* Doug was just mentioning something like this today. Great minds think alike! I am considering it, as the participation is definitely up.

>>You might need to post more freebie poems, (four instead of two), or not.<<

Not a problem, I write high volume poetry anyhow. I can afford to give some away for promotional purposes.

If I'm going to split the fishbowl, I'll probably wait a few months on that. The fishbowl tends to lower participation and funding in late spring and summer. I don't want to confuse that with the effect of the splitting.

Re: Thank you!

You're welcome!

I do think people like funding the serials, so posting summaries early in the month, and leaving donations open until the second post may father funding. Periodic updates as to what has been sponsored (or how much of an epic was sponsored) would help.

I don't officially close donations now, although at some point I do submit the unsold poems to other markets. Most donations come during the three or so days following a fishbowl, though, so I would probably do the count on the weekend. That way the serial activity could be announced on Monday and launched on Tuesday (the high-traffic days).

Open epics get mentioned during the Monday updates. Hm, it hadn't occurred to me to post a count; I've just done things like say "this is over half done now" or "one more verse is left." But I can go edit them to say how many verses of the total are visible. Thanks!
