Another Fiorenza prompt :-)

What happened when the griffin decided to build her nest in the belltower?

The parish priest from the first poem seem stuffy, but he didn't stike me as a bad sort, so, IMO, having him needing Fiorenza's help might make for a funny poem (and in time the two could even come to grudgingly respect each other, a bit in the Peppone/Don Camillo way http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Camillo ).

Based on a couple of requests for griffins, including your prompt about the nest in the belltower, I got the free-verse poem "The Truth in the Tower." Fiorenza and Don Candido try to deal with each other, and the mother griffin and her peevish babies, without going completely crazy in the process. The tone varies between wry and mournful, comic and sublime. Such is life.
