Last Words

I am intrigued by this recently ruling that the last words of a dying person are admissible evidence in criminal prosecution.  I tend to agree.  What do you think?

Definetely not. It'd be too easy to be like, "I'm dying. Hey, there's that guy I don't like, I'll say he killed me just to fuck with him."

Evidence is evidence. Anyone can say such things at any time; you don't need to be dying. Everyone's heard of the "false" rape accusation. I consider this the same thing: investigate anyway.

Right.
Do a dying person has no fear of prosecution,
or of retribution.
A dying person is no longer afraid to tell the truth.
