Read "This Is Heaven"

I was amused by "This Is Heaven" written by [personal profile] fayanora.  I often enjoy stories in which the afterlife is other than expected.

:-D
I love the idea, and it amused me, but I think the last couple sentences combined 'getting digs in' with 'explaining the joke'. I think it could have been better if the Angels had been a little more caring, and had just ended right there with the forgetfulness.

All in all, nice idea, though.
You might enjoy the following story written by sailorjim (links for all ninteen parts below):

Hafta - Part 1, Hafta - Part 2, Hafta - Part 3, Hafta - Part 4, Hafta - Part 5, Hafta - Part 6, Hafta - Part 7, Hafta - Part 8, Hafta - Part 9, Hafta - Part 10, Hafta - Part 10a*, Hafta - Part 10b*, Hafta - Part 11, Hafta - Part 12, Hafta - Part 13, Hafta - Part 14, Hafta - Part 15, Hafta - Part 16, Hafta - Part 17, Hafta - Part 18, Hafta - Part 19

*There is a flocked post between Part 10a and Part 10b where he gives a bit of an explanation to those of us who have been reading his 'little bits of silliness' for years.

If you want to read more of his stories there is a collection called Naked Through the Snow and Other Bits of Silliness, but contact him for the place to get a new copy where it will 1)be less expensive and 2)pay him royalties, unlike the copies through Amazon.
