And what does the police department do about that, I wonder?

Well, assuming this sequence of events:

1. Mugger accosts intended victim
2. Gargoyle swoops down and carries off mugger
3. Intended victim reports to cops,

then the cops probably put the intended victim in the drunk tank or file for an involuntary commitment, because zie is obviously hallucinating.

At least until someone considered to be reliable catches it on video. Then all hell breaks loose.

Vigilante gargoyles! Love it!

Also? Love triolets.

I also love Triolets, and even if I did not remember the form, I remembered the type of poem from my seventh grade English class. Those are good memories.

Plus, I love gargoyles.

The repeats particularly work with the subject - it is as though they are sweeping through the air in arcs while you recite the poem.

This is awesome. I used to love the cartoon "Gargoyles." I loved the title creatures, those beings made of stone during the day and flesh during the night. They were the inspiration for a whole classification of beings in my Playground of the Gods/Lyria fantasy storyverse: Daemons. Not to be confused with Demons, Daemons are a classification of beings who have both a flesh form and at least one non-flesh form. "Non flesh form" definition can include radically different kind of flesh, like plant flesh as opposed to animal flesh. Gargoyles, in that universe, are Stone Daemons. (Well, not all gargoyles. But in that storyverse, "gargoyle" comes from the Stone Daemons' name for themselves.) A major difference between my Gargoyles and the cartoon's gargoyles is that mine can switch back and forth at will. They can be stone at night and flesh at day or can be stone for 30 seconds and back to flesh, etc.
