Superheroes: Not Just for Boys

Superfail flies through the air with the greatest of ... bricklike plummeting.

Someone should beat these people over the head with "Wonder City Stories."

Go give money to people who write/draw heroic stuff for XX readers.

Appropriate icon for the win!

>>and CHUNKY?!<<

... it could have been "spunky heroines" ... 0_o

I note, however, that among the characters in "Wonder City Stories" is the Fat Lady. She's not listed in the character guide yet, alas.
Holy crap. My daughter *loves* Supergirl. She's gone through *two* Supergirl costumes. If I'd known this existed, I would have bought it for her in a heartbeat. As it is, I didn't even know the Wonder Woman DVD existed!

Good job on the marketing fail, DC! Good gods!

*goes to buy movies*
Your daughter has a great mother.

When I was growing up, I enjoyed watching "Wonder Woman" and "The Bionic Woman" on television. Of course, I also watched "Batman" and "The $6 Million Man" ... In actual comic books, I think my favorite superhero one was "The Fantastic 4."
*blush*

Thank you!

I am an an unashamed geek. I grew up reading comics, I still read comics, and when my girl asked me what I was reading, I happily started her with Superman, which lead to Krypto, his dog, which lead to Justice League, which lead to...

Supergirl.

And she was hooked. Because she looks like Kara. And Kara is cool and can fly and has an evil twin.

Seriously. What's not to love?

I'll have to post the picture of my girl in her first Supergirl costume.
