Welcome to the 2010 Holiday Poetry Sale! Today through Friday, December 17, my remaining fishbowl poems from 2010 are half price.  Especially check out the epics; the highest one is down to $44.25, so if you've been yearning for an epic of your very own, now's the time!  For those of you with just a few dollars to spend, there are lots of poems in the $2.50 and $5 range.

If you want to buy a poem as a gift for someone, let me know; I can dedicate it to anyone you wish.  Both the giver and the recipient count as donors for the purpose of reading the perk-posts, and both get nonexclusive reprint rights.  That means if you buy a poem for someone else, you can post it on your blog or website for them, or they can post it on theirs, in addition to it appearing here.

Here is a PayPal button for your convenience, or you may contact me for other payment options.  Please specify which poem(s) you want and the SALE price.

Your poetry choices include the following...

Handcrafted Poetry Pages
I print out poems in a nice font on colorful craft paper.  These are suitable for framing or storing in a scrapbook.  If you want to make poetry into a tangible gift for someone special, this is a great way to do that.  For samples, see the Poetry Fishbowl landing page.
Simple construction usually costs $5/page.  Sale price is two pages for $5.
Fancy construction involves more layers or types of paper, stickers or lasercuts that I have to buy special, and other complicated embellishments.  Regular price $10/page, sale price $5/page.

The following poems are left over from fishbowls throughout 2010.  If you want to see the thumbnail descriptions, go to the Poetry Fishbowl landing page and scroll down to find the "unsold poems" links next to the reports.  If you don't see a poem that you remember fondly, it may have been submitted to another market, but you can ask me to double-check.  The same applies to poems from previous years; just ask if you want one.

I don't remember some of these, so I'm just going by, "Hey, that title sounds really cool."

I'll pick up "Editing Dunbar's Number" ($15.25), "Humans with Bumpy Foreheads" ($10), and "Furry Virtues" ($5), for a total of $30.25. PayPal will come through shortly.

Thank you!

I will get "Editing Dunbar's Number" and "Humans with Bumpy Foreheads" posted shortly.

laffingkat is going to sponsor "Furry Virtues" and an earlier fishbowl poem, "Echoscape." I was in the process of making those edits to the "Sale" page when Doug came down and told me about your donation! So, you get to pick another poem out of the $5 list.

Are these for you, or would you like me to dedicate them to someone?

Re: Thank you!

Let's go with "Insistent Chemistry". These are all for my own curiosity :-).

I don't have a lot of spare money right now, but your poetry has brought me a lot of pleasure this year. You know some of my tastes/interests... please pick out either two $2.50 poems or one $5 poem and post it/them.

Happy holidays, arii!

Re: Happy holidays!

Flop indeed! I was tired by the time I finished selecting, and you're in a later time zone and must have been very tired after posting everything. But oh what fun! So many new poems to enjoy!

Re: Happy holidays!

>>Flop indeed! <<

Aww ... adorable baby tiger!

>>I was tired by the time I finished selecting, and you're in a later time zone and must have been very tired after posting everything.<<

Yeah, I did a LOT of work yesterday. I don't mind staying up late, but yes, when it involves serious projects late at night, I get tired by the time I'm done. Once I saw your last selections, though, I was determined to finish the sale before I went to bed. Today has just been cleanup -- typing in stuff for my records, etc. This afternoon I'll probably print off the k-fan collections.

>> But oh what fun! So many new poems to enjoy! <<

Yes, indeed! It was a lot of fun. A total of 18 poems got posted from the sale, which is fantastic. I'll need to write a followup soon.
