Libraries and Writing

My partner Doug tipped me to these two articles tonight.

This matches my arc of experience with libraries.  In particular, the last paragraph.  *giggle*

This touches on one of my oldest sources of inspiration, Dr. Seuss.  I stopped and thought about that after reading this piece.  Unusual gender dynamics, surrealism, Pagan motifs, ethnic tensions, reality hacking, environmentalism, social engineering ... yep, my favorite topics were in there.

Mark's a cool guy :-)
What I particularly like about the second article was that description of finding his path, his calling. It was just the thing he did best, and the best thing he did. And Seuss would have said it that way, too. ;)
For me, writing is a vocation.
