10 Things in Your Habitat

I spotted this meme in honor of today's date: 10-10-10.  List 10 things (animals, plants, etc.) that you see in your local habitat.  If you don't have a yard, you can borrow a park or somesuch.

My habitat includes: Sparrows, butterflies, echinacea, grasses, pear tree, black walnuts, garlic chives, mulch pile, centipedes, toads.

Cat tails, maple tree, rhubarb, asparagus, horseradish, comfrey, apple tree, rush grass, wild rose, yarrow...I could do this one all day. I guess we won't get 100/100/100 though!
I rather envy you the cattails and rush grass.
Crabapple tree, dandelion, wild rose bush, honeysuckle, squirrels, groundhogs (which climb trees and fences, who knew?), bluejays, teensy wild violets, walnut trees, and an armadillo. No pear tree yet, nor partridge.
Armadillo! *claps hands* They are so funny-looking. Some of my violets are reblooming now.
cats, cedars, squirrels, bluejays, rhododendrons, deer, banana slugs, maple trees, douglas firs, raccoons
Banana slugs, those are eye-catching!
Eye catching, sure. And FAST, as slug speeds go. But gawd help you if you step on one. They are, how shall we say, JUICY...
Feral cats, squirrels, opossum, raccoon, a rather large murder of crows, starlings, lemon tree, orange tree, wasps (grrr, doing yardwork with an epi-pen in my pocket), grapevines.
The citrus trees sound nice. Here it gets too cold to grow those.
apple trees, cherry trees, meadow, round red berry bushes, oak trees with acorns, maple trees with helicopter seeds, rabbits, squirrels, a black snake, black and orange flying beetles.
Black snake is cool. I love snakes.
