Awesome!
How about a Vorpel Hamster? It's an old D&D monster I dreamed up years ago - take a hamster, feed him a double handful of benzedrine and bad acid, and lock him in a tiny mirror-lined box. When someone opens the box, the monster goes for the throat like a psychotic timberwolf. :-}>
Ah, combining two of the best "freakin' scary monster" things in Earth's history: Pliocene megafauna, and Australia.

Australia managed some scary beasts all the way into human history -- at the time that humans made it to Australia, there were giant carnivorous kangaroos.
I mean, even scarier than the beasts they have NOW. NOW, they've got great whites, hammerheads, crocodiles, cane toads, and Australians.
... plus the jellyfish swarms.
I'm still pondering what Australian fauna will be like in my dogsbody setting -- whether more of the alarming megafauna will be there, or not.

Summer is my busy season for writing, with the Llewellyn annuals. I do have some fiction going, though.
