Hard Things

Life is full of things which are hard or tedious or otherwise unpleasant that need doing anyhow. They help make the world go 'round, they improve skills, and they boost your sense of self-respect. But doing them still kinda sucks. It's all the more difficult to do those things when nobody appreciates it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our accomplishments and pat each other on the back.

Well, tedious, unpleasant, and needed, but not hard:

The whole family did a sweep and pick up of the things in the house that needed to go, and needed to be recycled - sorting papers that came home from school in color and white pages, removing staples, getting papers scattered on the floor in the art area picked up, put away or in recycling, and getting the garbage out.

Any flavor of difficult, tedious, unpleasant, thankless ... but necessary ... project is welcome under Hard Things.
