See the Mystic's Coat

haikujaguar presents the latest post on her painting in progress, where she is filling in the gorgeous cinnamon-colored coat.  That lurid green is not paint, but liquid frisket.

What is liquid frisket?
Liquid frisket is stuff an artist paints onto paper to preserve white space in little finicky areas too small for film. It prevents paint from getting on that part of the paper, then peels off later. The drawback is that it can damage the sizing on the paper -- especially the kind haikujaguar is using here. She gives a good description of the issue across a couple of these art posts.
ahhh! Ok. :) Thanks. I have been enlightened.
