Plans and Goals

Well, my first reading/signing is scheduled for july 24th at a coffeehouse...
I'd composed a really good letter asking the 82nd Airborne for their help,
but then a friend explained that they weren't sort of fliers I needed to promote the event...
*sigh*
Still new at all of this...

I may, for the first time, write something specifically for a particular market...

What are some of your upcoming plans and goals?

Right now I have a plan to try to finish 10 shaded pencil drawings, devoting a minimum of 20 hours to each one.

I'd also like to start the crowd funded dragon soon. I am waffling on whether it is better started over the summer or after I've arrived in Germany and won't need to transport it.

Are any of them things you'll need help with, and if so, what kind of help?

Oh yes. I have no concept of things like value or perspective or backgrounds. I like getting help from my fiance. He will take my 'finished' drawings into photoshop and give them 'value redlines'.

What are some plans/goals that you have recently completed?

Graduation! (Well, almost, shy just a few days.)

I'm feeling rather accomplished over the Great Bedroom Makeover last weekend: old beds and dressers out, carpet vacuumed, bed-end walls cleaned, new shelving and beds in. Looks a lot bigger and lighter.

# What are some of your upcoming plans and goals?

I want to try and have the rough draft of my novel done. I'm giving myself until the end of the year to do this, owing to the two Day Jobs. If I get ahead of the game, so much better.

I'm also trying to get a swords-and-sorcery fantasy story off the ground, and at the moment, I'm still on the conceptual work side of things.

# Are any of them things you'll need help with, and if so, what kind of help?

Encouragement. Between the two Day Jobs, and trying to keep up with familial obligations, it would be nice just to get some simple encouragement, which is sometimes in short supply.

# What are some plans/goals that you have recently completed?

I recently went through and reorganized my deviantART galleries, and updated what I wanted in my "Featured" section. It was really nice to see how far my work has come, and to get to really showcase the best of the best.

Upcoming plans include finishing our tiny house and starting to live a more flexible lifestyle. Also, I would like to do a lot more writing.

We of course we continue to want our friends to help us build. I also need some help from my mother in law to learn her business so my day job can be more flxible. I would also never turn down help with getting my writing out there. The blogs are great, but more of an audience is always good.

Recently we would our house so we can simplify our lifestyle. I have also been offing including some big projects still o be announced.

I try to publish a weekly progress report on my goals so that it makes me publicly accountable. The major goals for me right now are: 1) get the house ready for the baby (due in early June); 2) get the design finished for my book of essays/columns.
