which is really funny, actually. See here for more information. The truth quark has now been renamed the top quark. The charm and strange quarks have not been renamed. All of these quarks were discovered quite some time ago. The bottom quark was first detected at Fermilab in 1977.

Or not exactly; however, when I read your header/title for this post one of the first thoughts running through my mind spun off something else and thus screamed, 'Needs to be a title to a story...'

The something else? "Time Considered as a Helix of Semi-precious Stones."
