100 Bits of Inspiration

I stumbled across the "100 situations" phenomenon recently.  The original idea was to pick a bunch of characters and run them through fanfic across the whole table.  I prefer to use the tables as random-idea generators; i.e. roll 1d100 several times and combine the results into a story or poem.

100_situations has five table promptsfanfic100 has one in its profile.

Does anyone else know more of these?  I would love to find a community that posts new tables regularly, or even just a list of more tables to explore.

I'm also toying with the idea of making some genre-based tables of my own.  Does that appeal to anyone else?

Different, I think. The tables have prompts that are words or phrases, like "Love" or "caught in the act." You're supposed to incorporate each prompt into a story; sometimes the rules are to combine multiple prompts in one story. Most of these communities are for fanfic, using established characters, but some are for original characters/settings instead. So you have to think about how your chosen characters would get themselves into the situation or theme from the prompt(s).
How about I make a table of some sort? 5x5, roll a d6 per side with sixes being "roll twice". Which means if you roll a string of sixes, you might end up running a character through the whole table anyway. ;)

Perhaps classic Western (across) vs Eastern (down) elements?
That sounds interesting.
