I took these on June 28.


Here is the barrel garden.  Look how tall the corn is at the edge of the yard behind it.  Corn is beginning to tassel now.

Your yarrow might bloom a second time if you trim off the dead flowers now.
I've got to go outside and do that--especially since we got all that rain Friday afternoon.

Well...

I know about deadheading, and occasionally do it with annuals, but mostly I like to give flowers a chance to reseed themselves.

So *that's* what those are called. They're everywhere around here, and one of the ultra-bright flowers that always seems to have a bright blue aura around it. Clemantis has the same effect, but we don't know what causes it. :/
