When I say that I write "reams" of poetry, I mean ... this. That stack on the left is the printout of my poems from 2012. Those two packets on the right are reams of paper; one ream = 500 sheets.
I've always like jobs where I had a physical indicator of what I'd accomplished. Baking was wonderful because I could look at the racks at the end of each night and see all I'd made.
Takes a bit longer to get that kind of pile on paper, but it must be a hell of a feeling of accomplishment when you get there!
Also my_partner_doug pointed out that the 2012 stack is nearly the size of the previous five years combined. Maybe somewhere between the first three and last two. It's just huge.
