The winners of the SFPA contest have been posted. I didn't win anything, but I particularly recommend that you read the long form winner, "The Fugitive." It's an exceptionally good example of why free-verse poetry is not prose. In particular, look at the imagery and extended metaphors, and listen to the sound repetition. |
